YESTERDAY Revisited
Yesterday, all my veggies
Looked so green and perky.
Now they wilt, roots gall
And look quite quirky.
Oh, I believe it’s nematodes.
Why they like my roots,
I don’t know.
Pest numbers just explode.
I wish I had rotated crops,
Darn nematodes.
Yesterday all my flowers
Were so bright and pretty.
Now they grow slow, bulbs rot
And turn quite gritty.
Oh, I believe it’s nematodes.
Why they like my bulbs,
I don’t know.
Pest numbers just explode.
I wish I had rotated crops,
Darn nematodes.
Based on Yesterday
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away.
Now it looks as though they’re here to stay.
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Why she had to go I don’t know, she wouldn’t say.
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday.
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play.
Now I need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday. (chorus)
Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be.
There’s a shadow hanging over me.
Oh, yesterday came suddenly. (chorus)
