Choanolaimus De Man, 1880
- The genus is common in sand dunes along the West-European coast, from
Germany to Portugal.
- Based on the morphology, and confirmed by modern molecular methods
Choanolaimus closest relatives are marine
nematodes.
- Carnivore that consumes other nematodes; stylets and spicules are
observed in the intestine.
- Spiral amphids.
