Body comparatively slender.
Cuticls smooth.
Female didelphic, ovaries reflexed
Males diorchic.
Note: Tchesunov, 1990 split the family Aegialoalaimidae Lorenzen, 1981 into three separate families:
Cyartonematidae for Cyartonema and Paraterschellingia
Diplopeltoididae for Diplopeltoides
