Morphology and Anatomy:

• Body cylindrical, slightly arcuate ventrally
• Cuticular sheath that was loosely separated from the anterior body and attached to the posterior part of the body. Sheath annules coarse and rounded, the first annulus of the lip region set off by a constriction.
• Lateral edges of labial annulus irregular and distinctly wider than the submedian four. Basal plate of the labial framework sclerotized.
• Stylet strong, straight or slightly curved with prominent basal knobs eith margins directed anteriorly.
• Excretory pore anterior,  between the 33rd to 38th annule of the body.

 Females:

• Vulva was posterior, straight, located atd 88.4% to 90.4% of body length.

• Monodelphic, prodelphic

• Spermatheca was spherical-shaped, filled with numerous rounded sperm cells t

• Anus small, distinct, situated on the 11th to 17th annuli from the posterior terminus of the body.

• Tail shape elongate and widely conoid with a smoothly rounded tip.

Males:

• Cuticular sheath was absent,  lateral fields with four smooth lines

• Spicule 20-25 um long, was slightly curved, protruding from the cloaca.

• Gubernaculum, 4.8 um long,

• Bursa absent.

• Tail shape elongate, terminus conoid

Distribution:

Reported from tea plantations if China, Taiwn, Japan, Iran (Mirghasemi et al., 2024)

Considered an important pest of tea production in Japan and recetly reported in China and Iran (Mirghasemi et al., 2024)
