Morphology and Anatomy:

Body length 3-7 mm;
Amphidial fovea oval.
Ocelli present or absent.
Buccal cavity divided into two parts by several rows of denticles; three teeth, right ventrosublateral largest and acute.
Pharynx without posterior bulbs. Excretory pore at level of amphidial fovea
Marine, with one brackish species: E. terricola.

Two well-developed precloacal supplements, cup-shaped and sclerotized, with or without winged bases.
Gubernaculum with or without apophysis.
