Morphology and Anatomy:

• Head and neck narrowed; Body narrow in esophageal region.
• Six inner labial and 6 long, prominent outer labial setae,  4 short cephalic setae in 3 circles
• Amphids bowl shaped.
• Mandibles lyre shape (hence genus name) and anteriorly sclerotized
• Posterior of esophagus expanded and strongly cuticularized.
• Cuticle faintly striated; scattered somatic setae
• Esophageal lumen wide, 2.5 um; posterior 1/3 of esophagus abruptly expanded
• Excretory pore opposite nerbve ring
• Tail conical-cylindrical with cuticle at tip slightly inflated.
• Marine
