Males:  

  • Diorchic, testes opposed, outstretched
  • Spicules paired, equal, arcuate, 2 x abd. long.
  • Gubernaculum strongly cuticularized, complex with dorso-caudally directed apophysis.
  •  Two tubular cuticularised precloacal supplements surmounted by a distinct cap. A small accessory triangular (lateral view) refractive structure located between the cloaca and the posterior supplement.

Distribution:

Collected at a depth of 2875 m with a box-core sampler in the Rockall Trough, a deep-water bathymetric feature to the northwest of Scotland and Ireland, running roughly from southwest to northeast.
