Morphology and Anatomy:

 

 
   

General Characteristics of Genus:

  • Cuticlse smooth
  • Stoma funnel-shaped with thick walls and without teeth.
  • Inner labial sensilla papilliform; outer labial and cephalic sensilla setiform in a single circle.
  • Buccal cavity embedded in surrounding pharyngeal collar.
  • Pharynx expands slightly posteriorly without forming a bulb. Secretory-excretory ampulla sclerotized and located at the anterior part of pharynx, pore located near cephalic setae. 
  • Marine.

Female:

  • Monodelphic-prodelphic.
  • Vulva in posterior half of the body.

Male:

  • Spicules straight,
  • Gubernaculum and supplements absent
