Prooncholaimus Micoletzky, 1924

Synonyms:

The genus Prooncholaimus was created by Micoletzky (1924) to accommodate and synonymize Oncholaimus megastoma Eberth,  1863 and Metoncholaimus eberthi Filipjev, 1918.

Morphology and Anatomy:

• Buccal cavity with large sub ventral tooth
• Amphid aperture pocket-shaped.
• Important character of the genus are the large bubble-like cells in body cavity between intestine and longitudinal chords.
