Morphology and Anatomy:

General Characteriistics of Genus:

  • Buccal cavity large, right ventrosublateral onchium largest,
  • Tail anteriorly conical, posteriorly cylindrical.   Midventral supplement present or not. Marine, brackish and freshwater.

Female:

  • Didelphic, amphidelphic, antidromously reflexed.
  • Demanian system present, parallel to intestine and reproductive system, terminal pores with short terminal ducts opening on body cuticle in preanal region, main duct connected anteriorly with intestine through ductus entericus and osmosium, also connected with reproductive system by ductus uterinus, uvette present or absent.

Male:

  • Spicules equal to abd or longer (up to 13 times), bent ventrally in distal part,
  • Gubernaculum present or absent.
