    Feeding:

Predator on other nematodes. Can be cultured on bacteria.  Switches feeding to other nematodes or bacteria when target prey populations are reduced Bilgrami et al., 2005.
Mononchoides gaugleri was cultured on  Eschirichia coli on 2% agar. Soil cores were inoculated with 2000 Mononchoides gaugleri or left uninoculated.  After 30 days, numbers of plant-feeding nematodes were significantly lower than in the cores not treated with M. gaugleri.
