Morphology and Anatomy:

With general characteristics of family Xyalidae, and:

 

Females:

  •  Monodelphic, prodelphic

Males:  

  • Monorchic or diorchic: anterior testis on left and posterior testis on right side of the intestine
  • Gubernaculum with apophysis absent or present;

Distribution:

Marine nematodes. Type species described from the sublittoral zone of the German Bight (North Sea) with additional observations from Chile. A second species was described from sublittoral areas of Argentina (Venekey et al., 2014).
