Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Females:

  • Vulva-anus distance ca one tail length or less; vulval lips not prominent or modified.
  •  Vagina less than half body diam. long, usually at right angle to body axis.
  • Post-vulval uterine sac present or absent, uterus often with an offset diverticulum.
  •  Ovary anteriorly outstretched, with oocytes mostly in one row and reaching pharynx, some species with a prominent small anterior projection attached to oviduct branching to form a uterine diverticulum.

  
   

Males:  

  • Bursa adanal.
  • Spicules moderately robust, cephalate, 15-22 um long.
  • Gubernaculum simple 6-10 um long.

Feeding:

Free-living and insect-parasitic forms.

Like many Hexatylina, the biology is not well knon.  There are entomoparasitic generations (parasites of insects and mites) and perhaps free-living mycophagous generations.
