Morphology and Anatomy:

Females:

  • Amphidelphic with outstretched ovaries.

  • Monorchic with outstretched anterior branch.
  • Spicules massive and curved;
  • Gubernaculum with a long caudal apophysis

Distribution:

Specimens described from bolltom sediments at depths of 500 to 1100 m in the Indian Ocean (Muthumbi et al., 1997).

Feeding:

Free-living marine nematodes. The three large teeth suggest omnivory as well as epistrate feeding.
