Morphology and Anatomy:

• Large nematodes, type species reported as 29mm long.
• Stoma large. sclerotized with longitudinal striations, surrounded by plates, and armed with an enchelidiid type of tooth.

Distribution:

Free-living marine nematodes. Type species, Ritenbenkia magnus, was reported from the ocean in the Arctic region near Greenland (Allgen, 1957)
