Pseudoplatycoma Chen, 2015
Type species of the genus: Pseudoplatycoma malaysianis Chen, 2015
Synonyms:
Per Chen (2015) Pseudoplatycoma (as represented by the type species) differs from Platycomopsis based on the presence of ocellus-like paired pigment spots throughout the body, and the bluntly rounded proximal end of the spicules. Shimada and Kakui (2020) consider that Pseudoplatycoma is distinguished from all the other genera in subfamily Platycominae based on its unique paired tubular precloacal ventromedian supplements and the dorsal apophyses of the gubernaculum.
General characteristics of genus:
Cuticle smooth with paired pigment spots between nerve-ring and cloaca or anus.
Labial papillae not obvious, 8 cephalic setae, various cervical setae close to amphids
Esophagus cylindrical, about 1/6 of body length
Tail conical
Male:
Amphid aperture in males without setae or flap on posterior edge
Spicules paired, curved venatrally
Gubernaculum with dorsal apophyses
Precloacal ventromedian supplements tubular

Female:
Didelphic-amphidelphic
Vulva near mid-body
