Morphology and Anatomy:

  • Body slender
  • Anterior sensilla in 3 circles surrounding stomal aperture: six indistinct labial papillae, six outer labial setae, four cephalic setae.
  • No buccal cavity.
  • Amphids oval-shaped.
  • Prominent oval epidermal gland cells scattered throughout body.
  • Excretory pore prominent and sclerotized
  • Tail clavate.
  • Marine, brackish water, freshwater

Males:

  • Monorchic
  • Spicules curved
  • Gubernaculum present

Females:

  • Monodelphic-opisthodelphic
