Distribution:

Species are described from freshwater and, rarely, brackish water habitats or moist soils from several countries, including Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Tanzania, China, Kazakhstan, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, Demark, Sweden, Italy, Spain (Robles and Abolafia, 2026).
