Morphology and Anatomy:

General characteristics of the genus:

Body slender, anteriorly narrowing strongly.
Head rounded. Outer labial papillae prominent
Amphids large with oval sclerotized aperture and situated at one to three head diameters from the anterior end. Males known in most of the species.
Tail elongate to filiform
Terrestrial.

Females:

Monodelphic-prodelphic or with reduced postuterine branch
Vulva closed

Males:

Spicules short, strong and arcuate with central piece
Two to four precloacal papillae
