Morphology and Anatomy:

Based on RNA analyses, Mullin et al (2003) indicate that Campydora has greater affinities with the order Enoplida than the order Dorylaimida.

General chracteristics of the genus:

Stoma wide anteriorly and tubular posteriorly, with mural tooth, dorsally placed, surrounded by longitudinal muscles.
Pharynx with terminal muscular cylindrical bulb. Secretory-excretory pore present.

Female:

Monodelphic-prodelphic, ovary reflexed; postvulval sac present.
Prerectum absent.
