Synonyms:

Large, whitish nematodes, transversely striated cuticle.
Maximum width near middle of body.
Lips almost equal in size; anterior margin of each lip as 2 widely-separated lobes curved towards median line and median furrow, provided with continuous row of fine teeth; dorsal lip with 2 subdorsal double papillae; each ventrolateral lip with 1 double subventral papilla; interlabia absent.
1 small single papilla and minute amphid situated laterally
Lateral alae indistinct, reduced to lateral grooves;
Esophagus long, narrow. Ventriculus (glandular region) elongate,.2.5 times shorter than esophagus, with anterior and posterior ends expanded.
Deirids well-developed, located a short distance posterior to nerve ring
Caecum long, extending anterior to ventriculus. Excretory pore located ventrally between ventrolateral lips
Tail of both sexes conical.
