                             Prismatolaimidae Micoletzky, 1922

• Head with a single circle of 6 and 4 cephalic setae, or with two closely positioned circles of 6 and 4 setae
• Cuticle striated
• Amphids pocket-shaped
• Stoma with parallel sclerotized walls crating prismatic effect, minute teeth (if present) in base of stoma       
• Esophagus cyclindrical, cardia large
• Tail filiform without caudal glands or spinneret but with a terminal mucron.
• Females amphidel;phic or prodelphic
• Males rare, with small supplements
