Originally described from around trees in Algonquin Park and Aylen Lake, Ontario, and in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Also reported from the eactern USA and Japan.
Migratory endoparasite.
Mainly from woody trees.
Assumed to be parthenogenic based on the rarity of males and the absence of sperm in the spermatheca.
