Morphology and Anatomy:

General Characteristics:

• Long stylet: 22 to 24 um Iong, with the knobs flattened on the anterior surface
• Lip region roundly convex, generally with two annules.
• Labial framework strongly arched and extends into two body annulcs.
• Tail usually conically rounded (with variations)
• Position of vulva
• Postuterine branch with a vestigial ovary.
• Males rare, spermatheca empty

Distribution:

Originally described from around trees in Algonquin Park and Aylen Lake, Ontario, and in Stanley Park, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Also reported from the eactern USA and Japan.
