Morphology and Anatomy:

General characteristics of the genus:

• Strongly attenuated anterior end
• No buccal cavity;
• Amphidial fovea oval;
• Six outer labial setae and four cephalic setae;
• Pharynx slender, expanded at base but not to a bulb; cardia large;
• Prominent oval cells scattered throughout the body cavity;
• Tail conical to rounded.
• (Morphologically similar to genus Oxystomina except for the rounded tail (Platt and Warwick, 1983; Sun et al., 2018).
• Marine
  

Male:

• Diorchic, testes opposed, outstretched
• Gubernaculum present
• Precloacal supplements
