Synonyms:

Morphology and Anatomy:

Small, thin nematodes with a striated cuticle.
Buccal capsule chitinous, smooth, barrel-shaped with 4 transversely elongate chitinous plates, each with 10-12 elements forming a fringe-like crown at the anterior
Three spines (2 ventrosublateral, 1 dorsal).

Males:

Caudal alae supported by 10 pairs of precaudal and 4 pairs of postcaudal pedunculate papillae
Spicules 2, unequal, right longer
Gubernaculum absent

Females:

Vulva postequatorial at about 66% of body length, with anterior and posterior lips.
Amphidelphic, uteri opposed, vagina dorected prosteriorly

Procamallanus ludhianensis was described and reported from the swimbladder of the freshwater fish Wallogo attur from the Kangsabati reservoir in West Benagal, India (Pal et al., 2002)
