Alaninematidae Theodorides, 1957

A very poorly known family containg only one genus, Alaninema, which has few species.

Parasites of molluscs and considered to be associated with the pallial cavity or digestive tract of snails and slugs (Pieterse et al., 2016). Terrestrial molluscs are the definitive hosts.
