           Amphibiophilidae Durette-Desset & Chabaud, 1981

Primarily parasites of reptiles and amphibians with one genus, Graphidiella, parasites of rabbits.\

Two subfamilies

• Amphibiophilinae - parasites of amphibians and reptiles
• Johnpearsonlinae - parasites of amphibians.

Morphology and Anatomy:

• Buccal capsule present, with dorsal esophageal tooth;
• cephalic vesicle present or absent;
• bursa of type 1-3-1, 2-1-2 or 2-3; synlophe bilaterally symmetrical or with an oblique axis of orientation;
• female didelphic or monodelphic;
• spine present or absent on female tail.
