Anatonchidae Jairajpuri, 1969
A family of nematode predators of other soil nematodes.
- Cuticle smooth
- Buccal cavity large, strongly sclerotized;.
- Three teeth in buccal cavity, one dorsal and two subventral; about equal
size and usually retrorse, pointing backwards.
- dorsal tooth in either posterior or anterior half of cavity,
usually projected forward.
- Denticles and longitudinal ridges lacking.
- Tubercles present in esophago-intestinal region.
