Morphology and Anatomy:

• With characteristics of superfamily Heligmosomoidea.
• Buccal capsule absent,
• Neodont (a tooth emerging at the anterior part of the esophagus) followed by two pairs of minute denticles;
• Copulatory bursa asymmetrical trilobed, reduced dorsal lobe; lateral rays highly sclerotised,
• Spicules short and complex;
• Gubernaculum present.
• Female tail without spine, vulva posterior; didelphic;
• As of 2024, single genus: Boehmiella Gebauer,1932..

Previously placed in the family Haemeonchidae. Andrade-Silva et al (2020) concluded that, based on molecularand morphological analysis, the genus Boehmiella is clearly unrelated to the family Haemonchidae. On that basis, they proposed the new family, Boehmiellidae to accommodate the genus/
