A family of marine nematodes that includes free-living epistrate-feeding forms and predators or parasites of protozoa, polychaetes and other marine invertebrates (Ahmad et al., 2021)..

• Alveolar sensilla absent
• Somatic setae present
• Papilliform labial sensilla
• Stoma with onchiostyle armament
• Dorsal and subventral gland orifices at stoma base
• Unispiral amphids
• Females didelphic, amphidelphic, ovary branches reflexed, spermathecae axial, not offset
• Males diorchic, testes directed anteriorly
• Caudal glands opening at terminal spinneret
