  • Body cuticle annulated, never punctated.

  • Females didelphic-amphidelphic, two reflexed ovaries.

  • Males monorchic, single anterior testis.


Three families:

Desmodoridae Filipjev, 1922,

Draconematidae Filipjev, 1918

Epsilonematidae Steiner, 1927.
The three families form a monophyletic group based on the synapomorphy that only anterior testis is present (Lorenzen 1981, 1994).

Two of the three families (Epsilonematidae and Draconematidae) are considered to be monophyletic
