Described from groundnuts in northern Nigeria
Marketable value of ground nuts is reduced and seed weights reduced by >30%.
Endoparasite on tissues of the testa and internal tissues of pods. Occursin extremely high numbers, as many as 35,000 nematodes per testa and whole pods > 113,000.
