Morphology and Anatomy:

 

 

   Males:

  • Monorchic, testis outstretched to near mid-body, spermatocytes arranged in single row.
  • Bursa leptoderan, extending from near head of spicules to about 1 cbd. from tail tip.
  •  Cloacal opening protruding slightly.
  • Spicules tylenchoid, ventrally arcuate, slightly
    cephalated anteriorly, , calomus with subtle constriction, proximal
    part of lamina lacking distinct expansion or tumulus. Gubernaculum
    simple, crescentic.

Females:

  • Body elongate, vermiform, ventrally arcuate
  • Cuticle distinctly annulated. Lateral field with six incisures, 29-56% of body diam.
  •  Lip region low, anteriorly flattened, lacking annulation, continuous with body contour; cephalic
    framework weakly developed.
  • Stylet delicate; knobs small, rounded. Dorsal pharyngeal gland orifice just posterior to stylet.
  •  Pharynx with procorpus cylindrical; metacorpus fusiform, muscular, with distinct refractive
    valve; isthmus narrow, encircled by nerve ring about mid-length; basal pharyngeal bulb pyriform,
    slightly overlapping intestine rectum tubular, narrow; anal opening not protuberant.
  • Hemizonid just posterior to nerve ring; excretory pore just posterior to hemizonid
  • Monodelphic-prodelphic. Ovary outstretched, extending to mid-body, oocytes in a single row.
  •  Oviduct narrow, spermatheca elongate containing spheroid sperm and  maturing oocytes; crustaformeriajoining elongate, joining bulbous anterior uterus.
  • Vulva located in posterior 25% of body, lips slightly protruding. Vagina perpendicular to slightly
    anteriorly directed
  •  Post-vulval uterine sac 1.9-4.4 x vbd.
  • Tail elongate, conical, terminus pointed.

Described from bark of Eucalyptus macrorhyncha in Capital Territory, Australia.
