Morphology and Anatomy:

Female: 

  • Mature females sedentary with small, swollen body and posterior protuberance;.
  • Stylet slightly dorsally curved 19.9 um long, with posteriorly sloping knobs
  • Nneck region irregular in shape and twisted;.
  • Well developed secretory-excretorypore, with sclerotized duct.
  • Large uterus with thick hyaline wall, filled with eggs.
  • Mature female transformed to cystoid,
  • Eggs deposited in an egg-mass and  retained in cystoid.
  • Cystoids have a unique sub-cuticular hexagonal beaded pattern.

Male: 

  • No stylet, degenerate esophagus
  • Well-developed testis
  • Conical tail with a rounded terminus bearing a ventrallylocated mucro.

 Second-stage juvenile:

  • Stylet 16.4 um long with prominent rounded knobs .
  • Tail tapering to a finely pointed terminus with a finger-like projection.
