Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Very long nematodes, 9.7-14.11 mm

Lip region wider than body contour and set off ny a deep constriction.

Amphid fovea large, stirrup-shaped with wide aperture which is about 75% of lip region width..

Odontostyle about 3x the length of the odontophore.

Female diovarial; vulva a transverse slit located slightly anterior to mid-body.

Males absent, may not occur.

Distribution:

Type locality is sandy soil in southern Spain, associated with stone pine, Pinus pinea.

Feeding:

 Migratory ectoparasites of plant roots; the long odontostyle allows penetration deep into plant roots, probably primarily at or near the root tip.
