Morphology and Anatomy:

 

Female:

  • Long, slender nematodes, 5.86-8.29 mm
  • Lip region high, expanded, distinctly offset from body contour
  • SAmphids stirrup-shaped with slit-like aperture which is 65-73% of head width
  • Odontostyle long with single guiding ring
  • Uteri didelphic, amphidelphis
  • Tail convex-conoid with rounded terminus

Male::

  • Morphologically simialr to female
  • Testes paire, opposed
  • Spicules robust, almost 2x tail length
  • 8-11 pairs of ventromedian supplements and a pair of adanal supplements

Distribution:

Type locality is sandy soil in Serbia, associated with stone pine, silver lime, Tilia tomentosa, and Juniperus communis.

 Migratory ectoparasites of plant roots; the long odontostyle allows penetration deep into plant roots, probably primarily at or near the root tip.
