Morphology and Anatomy:

Refer to subfamily diagnosis (Atylenchinae).  

 Body mostly C-shaped or in semicircular position in females and juveniles, in males posterior end hook-shaped or spirally coiled.

 There are eight longitudinal cuticular ridges surrounding the body,.divided into rectangular blocks by deep transverse annulation, beginning just behind cephalic region and extending to about anal region. Lateral fields slightly elevated, narrow.

A longitudinal flap covers the vulva.

Spermartheca with sperm, indicating sexual reproduction.
