Morphology and Anatomy:

.

Females:

  • Body configuration usually rounded at both ends.

  • Curved onchiostyle with dorsal groove.

  • Cuticle tends to swell in water and fixative when nematodes are killed.

  • Cuticle without pores.

  • Excretory pore near base of the pharynx.

  • Base of the pharynx does not overlap the intestine.

  • Female monodelphic, prodelphic; V = 60% – 65%.

  • Vagina short and weakly muscularized, pars refringens vaginae very small.
