Morphology and Anatomy:

 


  • Outer labial and cephalic sensilla papilliform.
  • Cephalic sensilla surrounded by marginal lamellae in form of hook-like plates.
  • Buccal capsule elongate. Three onchia in buccal cavity, largest being located right ventrosublaterally and other two equal in size. 
  • Tail anteriorly conical, posteriorly cylindrical.

Female:

  • Didelphic
  • Demanian tube system of Adoncholaimus type, but with postanal terminal canals and pores situated on tail.

Male:

  • Spicules curved, relatively long, slender, proximally cephalated, distally pointed, slightly broadening anterior to distal end.
  • Gubernaculum present.
  • Ventromedian precloacal supplements present or not.
  • Precloacal and postcloacal sensilla long, setiform

Distribution:

Free-living marine  nematodes. Type species described from subtidal sediments in the Sea of Japan.
