Type species of the genus: Lenisaphelenchus ulomae Kanzali & Hamaguchi, 2020

Morphology and Anatomy:

Body cylindrical, of moderate thickness.
Cuticle smooth, with lateral field of four lines; internal band wider and lower than other two.
Labial region of six equal-sized lips forming a dome shape; continuous with body contour.
Stylet thick, with wide lumen, with long anterior section; without clear basal swellings.
Procorpus tube-like; metacorpus slightly elongated oval to pear-shaped with glandular anterior part and muscular posterior part; muscular part a cnspicuous bulb.
Pharyngo-intestinal junction immediately posterior to median bulb; isthmus absent.
Nerve ring surrounding intestine and pharyngeal gland.

Female:

Monodelphic, prodelphic. Post-vulval uterine sac (PUS) absent.
Rectum and anus present, seemingly vestigial (not functional).
Female tail conical.

Male:

Monorchis, testis outstretched.
Spicules paired, seemingly not fused.
Male tail without bursa or bursal flap.
Two pairs of papilliform genital papillae present, anterior pair adcloacal and posterior pair at mid-tail length.
