Devibursaphelenchus wangi Gu, Wang & Zheng, 2010

Morphology and Anatomy:

Slender body
Lip region with six separate lips
Head set of by a constriction
Three lines in lateral filed
Stylet with wide lumen, without basal knobs
Female without vulval flap but with very short post-uterine sac
Rectum and anus obscure, non-functional
Tail elongate-conoid.
Male with distinct terminal bursa, short spicules with flattenef cucullus and two pairs of caudal papillae

Distribution:

Collected from samples of packaging wood imported from USA into China.

Males, females and juveniles of Devibursaphelenchus wangi were observed feeding on Aphelenchoides sp. The bodies of Aphelenchoides sp. were penetrated by the stylets of D. wangi (Gu et al., 2010).

The nematode did not multiply on the fungus Botryotinia fuckeliana.
