Morphology and Anatomy:

Lips closed, lobate, moderately cuticularised and slightly incised.
Stoma cylindrical and spacious, prismatic; cheilorhabdions apparently absent, metarhabdions each with a single, hollow tooth.
Esophageal sleeve/collar absent.
Esophagus with a median bulb and a valvulated terminal bulb.

Female:

Monodelphic-prodelphic
Vulva well posterior, provided with a flap like deciduous cuticular operculum (the basis for the genus neame).
Female tail dome shaped with a spine.

Male:

Monorchic.
Tail with an open peloderan bursa that is with 10 pairs of radially-arranged papillae
Spicules long and slender, distally fused.
Gubernaculum long.
