Parasitorhabditis Fuchs, 1937

   A genus of nematodes having parasitic or phoretic relationships with bark beetles of the Cerambycidae.

Morphology and Anatomy:

 Males:

Species within Parasitorhabditis have among the most variable male tail ray patterns of genera of Rhabditida (Carta et al., 2020; Sudhaus and Fitch, 2001).

Distribution:

Feeding:

  Associates of bark beetles, perhaps phoretic, perhaps necronemic.  Have been cultured from juveniles to adults on malt agar, or on water or potato-dextrose agar sdupporting fungi (Carta et al., 2010).
