Morphology and Anatomy:

• Buccal tube unusually short, only as long as wide
• Cheilostom sclerotized, metastrom with spoon-like teeth
• Median bulb swollen
• Metacorpus with well-developed valve and nuclei
• Tails very long, filiform in both sexes

Females:

• Didelphic, amphidelphic, ovaries reflexed
• Globular spermasthecae between each ovary and oviduct.
• Egg cells in single file

Males:

• Spicules fused distally
• Bursa leptoderan with broad velum
• Ventromedian papillae: 9 pairs
