Morphology and Anatomy:

Female:

  • Body arcuate ventrad
  • Annuli striated into blocks
  • Lateral field 3 incisures
  • Lip region offset with 3 pairs of well-separated lips with a total of 6 + 4 papillae. Each lip with a column like abase and triangular top extenidng into cephalic probolae.
  • An amphid in a cleft between each lateral lip pair
  • Stoma short with pharyngeal collar extending to oral opening.
  • Monodelphic prodelphic, Vulva posterior to mid-body, lips protruding
  • Spermatheca well-developed post-vulval uterine sac shorter thsat body diameter

Male:

  • Spicules strong, arcuate
  • Gubernaculum weakly  curved.
  • Three pairsa of ventro-sublateral pre-cloacal papillae; a single papilla on anterior cloacal lip
  • Caudal papillae present.
  • Tail conoid, rouneded terminus

Distribution:

Originally described from Moldova and subsequently also detected at sites in the Middle East and near the Mediterranean (Baldwin et al., 2001)..
