Morphology and Anatomy:

Ref: Thorne, 1937

Thorne (1837) concluded that the genus Placodira appears most closely related to Acrobeloides but differs in the tessellate cuticle of the anterior region, the very slender cylindrical corpus of the esophagus, the exceedingly short isthmus and the positions of nerve ring and excretory pore.

Placodira lobata: tessellate cuticle in anterior, and labial probolae.
From Thorne (1937)
