Morphology and Anatomy:

  • Body very slender
  • Cuticle practically smooth
  • Short cylindrical stoma
  • Head not offset, lips low
  • Esophagus with long slender tapering corpus, slensder isthmus. 
  • Tail elongate conoid..  
  • Rapidly moving, very active nematodes.

 

  • Female monovarial, prodelphic
  • Postuterine sac < 1 vulval body width
  • Oviparous-viviparous
  • Male with long spicules

Distribution:

Freshwater aquatic nematodes; samples collected from the bank of a drain in India also contained the nematode (Khan et al., 2012).
