Plectonchus Fuchs, 1930

Type species of the genus: Plectonchus cunicularii Fuchs, 1930

Note: Abolafia et al. (2016) transferred Plectonchus hunti Stock, De Ley, De Ley, Mundo-Ocampo, Baldwin & Nadler, 2002 to the genus Panagrobelus Thorne, 1939, based on morphological and molecular data (Ghaemi et al, 2025). Further, Ghaemi et al (2025) resolved phylogenetic relationships and assigned the genus Plectonchus to the family Brevibuccidae as proposed originally by Andrssy (2005)
