Morphology and Anatomy:

  • Slender, cylindrical, tapering posterioly to an elongate conoid tail. 
  • Cuticle with coarse transverse striations and longitudinal incisures, resulting in a tessellate or tiled appearance.
  • Lip region offset with 6 high truncate lips.
  • Stoma wide anterior;y and posterior region nsarrow, surrounded by a collar of anterior esophagus.
  • Female monovarial, prodelphic.
  • Male smaller and more slender than female.
  • Spicules strongly curved, no gubernaculum.
