    Morphology and Anatomy:

    Species are characterized by having a synlophe with 3 sub-ventral cuticular ridges oriented from right to left, with the absence of lateral and dorsal cuticular ridges (Durette-Desset, 1983).

    Males:  

    •  cordiform bursa with a well-developed dorsal lobe, a long and robust dorsal ray, and short and robust ray 8
